In the summer of 2006 a group of St. Paul, Minnesota Firefighters,
Police Officers and Ramsey County Deputies noticed that there
are motorcycle groups for law enforcement officers and groups for
firefighters, but no group that embraces both.  From this, the idea
grew.

The name Guns’ & Hoses has long been used by all police and
firefighters throughout the country to indicate both groups coming
together for a cause.  For this reason, we have adopted that
name to express who we are.

Because Police and Firemen’s Insurance Association (PFIA) has a
long history of protecting the families of law enforcement officers
and firefighters, all Guns' & Hoses Motorcycle Riders (G&HMR)
members must be members of PFIA.

Our motto;

“Venienti Occurrite Morbo” (Meet the misfortune as it comes.)

For this reason G&HMR was formed.  To meet the misfortune of
our fellow Brothers and Sisters in Law Enforcement and
Firefighting.
